Affordable Housing Partnership Program (AHPP)

A joint effort by CalHFA and cities, counties, redevelopment agencies and housing authorities whereby a deferred payment subordinate loan from a locality is utilized by the first-time homebuyers to assist them with down payment and/or closing costs.

Habitat for Humanity Loan Purchase Program (HFH)

The Habitat for Humanity Loan Program purchases affordable home mortgages that have been originated by California affiliates of Habitat for Humanity (HFH).  The HFH affiliates will use the capital from the mortgage sales to reinvest in the development of additional affordable housing in California.

Housing Enabled by Local Partnerships (HELP) - News: Temporary Suspension of HELP Program

Housing Enabled by Local Partnerships (HELP) is an award-winning program that has awarded $160 million to 102 separate housing entities to facilitate affordable housing since the program’s inception in 1998. The program provides 3.5% interest rate loans, with repayment terms up to 10 years, to local government entities for locally-determined affordable housing priorities.

Residential Development Loan Program (RDLP)

The Residential Development Loan Program (RDLP) is project-specific funding that provides a 3% interest rate loan with a maximum term of 5 years to local government agencies for site development, predevelopment and construction costs attributed to affordable infill, owner-occupied housing developments. The Program also directly links RDLP-financed developments to CalHFA’s California Homebuyer's Downpayment Assistance Program (CHDAP) to provide subordinate loans, as necessary, to first-time homebuyers.
