Bed Bug Control Laws

Beginning July 1, 2017, residential landlords are required to provide a written bed bug disclosure to prospective tenants with the general information about bed bug identification, behavior, biology, the importance of prompt written reporting of suspected infestation to the landlord, and the importance of prevention and treatment of infestation.

No later than January 1, 2018, a written bed bug disclosure must be given to ALL existing tenants.

Annual Operating Budget

CalHFA Regulatory Agreement requires the submission of an annual operating budget. The annual budget anticipates income, operating expenses and capital improvements for the project. The budget serves as a financial operating plan and helps determine the need for a rent adjustment. Owners and Agents should refer to the project's Regulatory Agreement for specific requirement.

Due Date

The annual Operating Budget and list of anticipated capital improvements for the fiscal year is due 60 days prior to the beginning of the project's fiscal year.

The Annual Operating Budget can be mailed by US mail or emailed in PDF format to the assigned CalHFA Asset Manager.

Access CalHFA's Web Compliance Management System (WCMS) to submit the Annual Operating Budget. The budget format is located within the Statement of Operations.

First time users must complete a registration form. Once approved, an email notification will be sent to the requester to access WCMS.
