CRA Credits

Entities seeking to purchase Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) eligible loans can take advantage of CalHFA's CRA Credits. CalHFA can provide loan level data of any loan in CalHFA's portfolio so you can determine if a CalHFA loan meets your CRA purchase goals. Loan level data includes but is not limited to borrower income, property location, LTV and credit score. Loans available for review and purchase can be CalHFA first mortgage loans and/or CalHFA subordinate down payment and closing costs assistance loans (“silent” second, deferred junior loans).

CalHFA can also offer to retain the servicing of any loans after you have purchased them.
