March 4, 2022

SACRAMENTO — The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada has once again awarded its highest forms of recognition to the California Housing Finance Agency (CalHFA).

For the fourth consecutive year, CalHFA earned a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for its 2019-2020 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report and Popular Annual Financial Report, which give detailed accountings of CalHFA's financial position for both financial professionals and the layperson.

"We take the duty to be good stewards of our funds very seriously," said Tiena Johnson Hall, Executive Director of CalHFA. "We owe it to our investors, the Legislature and the people of California to follow stringent accounting principles and provide full transparency with our financial reporting."

An impartial panel judged the Comprehensive and Popular Annual Financial Reports to meet the high standards of the program, which includes demonstration of a constructive "spirit of full disclosure" to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and groups to read the report.

You can read the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report, Popular Annual Financial Report and other CalHFA documents on its website.
